  2. Dear Mrs. Salmon

Self expression is the number one factor in a kids learning. Teacher want a kid to learn and progress into a young smart adult we can not do this when we must wear these tacky uniforms.

Uni means one and form is a thing ISAAC stand for self expression and coming tighter together we can not show our true selfs if we must wear rags on our skin this is stripping us of our freedom and independence please reconsider.

I am one of 180 students at ISAAC i will not be the only one fighting for our freedom and expression ISAAC is a unique school with people from all over we have people with different cultures we are made equal but all different we are born with a different face skin and personality uniform are putting hand cuffs on us for being unique these uniforms are punishments not privileges.

So do you see i am not MLK fight for our rights i am just a a young boy fighting for people who wants to be himself.

    Sincerily,

  3. =) Dear Mrs. Firovante,
It has come to my attention that the Leadership Team is considering having student wear uniforms at Isaac. I realize that some feel that uniforms will ruin isaac uniqueness isaac is different from other school because the student have the ability to to dress the way they want to as long as it is not inappropriate and follows the dress code. =) . However having uniforms will make our school not unique because it will be no different then Bennie Dover and other schools.
Wearing uniforms will eliminate the uniqueness of the student at Isaac Middle School. For example i don't think teens and pre-teens are going to want to wear the same uniforms everyday or want to wear the same thing as each other.
Another reason is A lot of student don't want to wear the same thing as another boy/girl it's just how we are I think this is not a fair situation because the student really don't have a say in this I think if we go to this school we should be able to choose wether we want uniforms or not.
My last reason is because some kids like going back to school shopping with there parents I know I do. When you go back to school shopping you get to the latest fashions to start a new school year. It can also give u a different image and help you find yourself through your journey through middle school by thinking about what type of person you want to be.
There shouldn't be uniforms as long as we dress appropriate and follow the dress code in school. I really hope you and the rest of the leadership Team don't choose for us to have to wear uniforms cause it will ruin isaac uniqueness.

    Sincerely ,

    Teija Goode

  4. Dear teachers of the leadership team,

I know that the leadership team is considering wearing uniforms and my opinion is that we should not have to wear uniforms.

I think that we shouldn't have to wear uniforms because we should be able to express ourselves and our unique styles. If we have to wear uniforms, then we won't be able to express ourselves and we would be all looking the same and not everyone would like that.

Also, I don't agree that uniforms help you pay attention more, make you more disciplined, or makes you act professionally. This just sounds crazy and makes no sense that the clothes you wear can change the way you act.

One thing that I do believe is that it helps the violence and teasing calm because most people get made fun of because of what they wear and if we wore uniforms then no on e would get made fun of by what they wear because everyone would be wearing the same things.

I think that ISAAC school should not have to wear uniforms because it would take away that we express our unique style and I don't think that it makes us more professional and disciplined.

    Sincerely,
    Anandah H

  5. Dear.Ms.Firovant,

It has come to m attention that the Leadership Team is considering having students wear uniforms at ISAAC. I realize that some feel that uniforms will not be a good idea. However, I feel the same way do to many reasons that you will read through out this letter. I strongly believe that wearing uniforms it is not away we can express our selves because every one has a different style. My second reason is uniforms are NOT going to make us more serious we are really trying to work hard we LOVE NOT wearing uniforms. My final reason is all your uniforms are UGLY so you know from teaching that kids are gonna like pins, cut the length on the pants, or cut the sleeves on the shirts so why bother, we do that now why put more stress.
    Sincerely,
    BRITTNEY HERNAADEZ=)

  6. Dear Dr. Johnson,
how could you even consider uniforms at Isaac? It's one of the things we can use to show who we are! That's just like taking away our individuality. People would argue that they increase test scores. However, I don't see the Williams School wearing them, and their scores are proficient. The thought of uniforms is just absurd.
Here at Isaac, we have rules. They prevent us from wearing certain articles of clothing. Still, in general, we can wear what we want. If you take that away, how can we visually show who we are? Hair? What about the boys? How would the students react?
If students have to wear uniforms, they're bound to rebel. It could be something like just not wearing their uniforms. Or worse, altering their garb to be sagging, tight, or revealing. What action would you take if a bunch of students joined in? The school would look like a ghost town if you were to suspend them all. There wouldn't be much you could do about that. Do these uniforms even have a specific purpose?
Some people believe that uniforms help students to take school more seriously, ultimately resulting in higher test scores. What about the Williams School? They don't have uniforms at that school and their test scores are fine. So I'm thinking that it's something else that affects test scores.
You see Dr. Johnson, their is no point in school uniforms at Isaac. Students will just rebel and be miserable. It's not like they improve grades. So what's their purpose? I hope you can see the situation through my eyes. -PM

  7. Dear Dr. Johnson

It has come to my attention that the leadership team is considering having students wear school uniforms at ISAAC. I realize that some feel that uniforms will improve school discipline and higher academic acheivement. However wearing what kids want to wear lets them feel like they have some freedom. I strongly believe that there shouldn't be any uniforms because there is no evidence that uniforms improve academic acheivement. Lets kids express themselves in there own way. wearing uniforms makes kids feel like they are being told to do everything, when kids like there freedom.

Certainly, school uniforms at ISAAC should not be aloud. Kids like to have freedom to do what they like to wear. If they wear uniforms they feel like they are told what to do every second of the day. Thank you for your time and attention.

    Sincerely,

    Zachariah L.

  8. Dear Dr. Johnson,
It has come to my attention that the Leadership Team is considering having students wear uniforms at ISAAC. I realize that some feel that uniforms will keep kids will fit in with others. However when kids have to wear uniforms when they don't want to they get angry about uniforms. They cant dress like they want to. I strongly believe that when kids dress in more comfortable clothes they work harder.
Without question school uniforms makes kids unhappy because they cant express their ways. For example, if someone wanted to dress from their culture they cant because they would have to wear uniforms. A lot of people say that when kids wear uniforms that it helps their test scores. There is no prove that this actually helps us.
Another reason is that school uniforms takes one individuality away. Some kids like to be apart from the group. They dress differently from others to be one of a kind. With the uniforms they just make them in a group.
Finally, When students wear uniforms and don't like them they reject rules. When kids wear uniforms they change it to fit their liking. The teachers then have to tell them to fix it.
Certainly, schools uniforms at ISAAC are a bad idea. We should just keep our dress code the same and no uniforms. Thank you for your time and attention

it has come to my attention that the leadership team is considering that students wear uniforms at isaac. i realize that some feel that uniforms will hurt their grades because people do not feel comfortable when in uniforms because they will be worried that they wont be independent. another reason is we can be comfortable in our own clothes

  10. Dear Teachers of the leadership team.

It has come to my attention that leadership team is considering school uniforms. Some people think that school uniforms are going to be a great thing for this school and that it will make school into a better environment. However I state that school uniforms will make kids even more angry with school and it will just cause more stress.
I strongly believe that It will just cause way more stress we have enough rules in school as it is so why cant we just wear what we want to wear. It wouldn't make sense to cause more stress than we need. I think it would make it way worse we should just leave school as it is, it's good enough. that so far is my opinion.

Without question school uniforms are not at all nesasary for ISAAC. This school is all about art and communication so why can't we express ourselves by wearing what we want. Wearing tan, blue, and white is not expressing art at all.

Another reason is because kids already don't like school as it is why would we want to wear uniforms. Like I said before it's going to cause way more stress. It's going to be to much.

My final reason is because there is no evidence that uniforms help discipline, if anything it causes discipline problems. No school can prove this.

Certainly school uniforms at isaac are not going to help anything just make things worse. Remember there is no need for them and they will cause way more stress. I want us to forget about this idea.

    Sincerely,

    Desmond

  11. Dear teachers of Leadership Team,

It comes to my attention that the Leadership Team is considering having students wear uniforms at ISAAC. I realize that some feel that uniforms will be a bargain for parents. However, students will like to express themselves not wear the same colors and the same uniforms as someone else. I strongly believe that ISAAC students shouldn't be required to wear school uniforms because students want to wear fashionable or the latest fad clothing, it will take some more of or freedom to wear what we want to wear, and it will give you a chance to be unique and express yourself.

Without question school uniforms will take away the right of wearing fashionable clothing and the latest fad. For example, say their was a new pair of jeans out and they were not breaking any of the rules we have now but then we have to wear uniforms. You wouldn't be able to wear them to school even though they were not breaking any school rules.

Another reason is most students want to express themselves through clothing even if they have school rules that tell you what not to wear. If they have school rules like no wearing shirts with they tiny straps because it is a rule and it is showing to much students will listen to them and they won't wear things that are inappropriate.

Finally, having the freedom of being able to wear clothing that isn't too inappropriate for school and that is part of the school rules. Like say someone came to school with leggings on which is a rule here at ISAAC, "No wearing leggings." Then they should get a detention or a lunch detention.

Certainly, schools uniforms at ISAAC shouldn't be required because they should have freedoms, be able to express themselves and wear fashionable clothes. I think there shouldn't be school uniforms at ISAAC. Thank you for your time and attention.

    Sincerely,

    Kiana Wiggins
